Proposing a New Kind of Book Club

WOMEN & FINANCE BOOK CLUB Financial literacy is the ability to understand finance. I am proposing to start a new and different kind of book club, in addition to Lillian's club (see previous post), that will feature money-themed books. I know, I know, who ever heard of a book club that reads only books about money and personal finance? Let's give it a try. Our first meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on October 20 and if there's enough interest we'll meet every third Tuesday. Let's read, learn more about money matters, and make friends too. I hope you'll join us.

Hello, I am Cynthia, the Adult Programming Specialist at Omaha Public Library's Florence Branch. I am very excited about serving the community in this capacity. I facilitate the "Women & Finance Book Club," and I'm planning a book making program for the spring. Evonne, our branch manager and the newest member of our team brings with her a ready smile and a spark that livens the room. A voracious reader, she is quick to recommmend a good read suited to your particular interests. Lindsey, our Young Adult and Children's Specialist, organizes engaging storytime programs for children, a really fun "Mission Possible" activity that exercises research skills for teen, and other activities.)
